Mercury Can't Answer A Safety Question

It seems that if they don't want to answer a safety concern question, they threaten to cut off your power to make you go away!

TOPIC 1: MY HEALTH IMPROVEMENT

I am much better. The cure is complex. I will create a writeup this weekend that covers the process I used. It's not a one-shot thing. There are stages and processes including recovery, prevention and long term management. It's hard to say if you ever fully recover, but you can manage it as long as you can minimise exposure.

This is not medical advice. Please confirm any practice with your healthcare professional.

  1. To quickly eleviate burning, a bath in warm water is great and in the bath, massage hempseed oil into your skin. You will smell like a fish but the relief is instant. You can use other oils but hempseed is the perfect balance. Test your skin first. You can also drink a spoonful of the oil to establish omega 3 in your system. Eating fish takes too long.

  2. To recover mental clarity, take a teaspoon of MCT oil. It was instant with me.

  3. Take probiotics to recover your gut biome.

  4. Sleep away from wiring. Switch off your power if it's safe to do so. Your freezer may keep your food OK for 6-8 hrs. Test it

  5. You must sleep comfortably. Sleep away from EMF, as this is the only way to recover.

TOPIC 2: THE UTILITY COMPANY SAGA

I am posting this for education and informational purposes only. The objective is to create an open and honest debate to resolve the question which has no definitive answer yet, so please do not draw any conclusions.

However if you have a smart meter/any meter attached to a room, inside or out side, you may like to recognise the study presented below, and take precautions.

And yes, you can get your smart meter removed. Just ask your power company. If they say 'no', you can change companies on the proviso that they do.

"How close can you place a baby's cot next to a smart meter?"

For over 60 days I have been trying to get an answer to the question, "How close can you put a baby's cot next to a smart meter?" and the answer has been the psychology of "avoidance".

Mercury Email 6/12/2024

Dear Mr. Stephenson

Mercury recently wrote to you and stated that it would no longer engage with you regarding your complaint about EMF at your property (the matter). You engaged with Utilities Disputes Limited, and the Commissioner made a ruling on the matter on 18 November 2024.

Mercury has serious concerns with the views that you have expressed in your communications to us, regarding the Utilities Disputes Limited and the Commissioner himself. Those views are not shared by Mercury.

During one of your conversations this morning you stated that you are “phoning to be a nuisance”. (*) Mercury regards these continuous phones calls on the matter as harassment towards our staff and wish to direct you to section 8.1(j) of Mercury’s General Residential Terms and Conditions, under which you as the Customer, agree to:

(j) respect our staff, and not threaten, bully or harass our staff, or anyone else (when using the services) or engaging with us;

Once again, Mercury respectfully requests that you refrain from contacting us regarding the matter. Should you continue to do so, Mercury will regard this action as a breach of our terms and conditions. This may lead to the termination of our contract to provide electricity services to you, with immediate effect.

Regards

(*)   I probably said that I didn't mean to be a nuisance. However, I would only be a nuisance based on their opinion of my question that they do not wish to answer

My Reply:

Dear BRUCE -

Mercury Resolutions Team MANAGER

Note: I have included other stakeholders (including BCC) in my reply and have included your initial reply to me below.

This is a matter of public concern. Please treat it with urgency.

RE: SRC-4586: WORKSAFE Filing regarding excess EMF Radiation attributed to the collective smart meter activities.

The question you have not answered is:

"How close can you place a baby's cot next to a smart meter?"

This is question designed to help rule out the possibility that children are suffering symptoms such as cardiovascular disease, leukemia, cancer, inflammation, and long covid as a result of 24/7 exposure to non-ionising radiation from their living proximity of the smart meter.

A Secondary Issue

Intellihub have still not answered the question as to how the cellular transmission from the smart meter is isolated from the copper wires of the property and the national grid. If they are not isolated then every home is now a wifi transmitter 60/24/7/365 and affected by every smart meter call in the neighborhood. If so, the WHO's recommended safety RF EMF exposure values have been exceeded by a factor of immeasurable quantities, and this would be 100% lethal to all people within time, irrespective of their position.

THE ANSWER

Your industry does not appear to have pursued a safety first principle. All people I have talked to within Mercury and UDL do not know the answer and some have stated that in their opinion, the distance is 0 mm. It shows the level of confusion and complacency your organisations have as their foundation.

In the following study, the distance required to avoid being affected by a smart meter is 10 meters. Within 1 meter you are 100% affected and many babies and children are possibly in this position, and their future health will be affected.

Resolution Method

I suggest a room where you bring your scientists, studies; and I will bring mine.

Then 'The Commissioner" can hear a debate and see evidence before making a fully educated decision.

This is how a proper process would be conducted as opposed to a omnipotent ruling.

Do you agree with this meeting?

Yours truly

Ian Stephenson

TOPIC 3: The ANSWER?

Answer 1: From Utilities Disputes Limited, acting as an independent body, but whose 'consultants' are from the companies who run the utility companies.

Kia ora Ian

Thanks for your time on the phone today. I understand you are not satisfied with the Commissioner’s decision not to further consider your complaint about Mercury. I’m attaching a copy of the Commissioner’s decision for reference.

If you would like to provide additional material or evidence that was not before the Commissioner when he made his decision, please do so by replying to this email. Otherwise, if you remain dissatisfied with the decision you may bring your complaint to another forum such as the Disputes Tribunal.

We also discussed your dissatisfaction with Utilities Disputes itself. Although you said you did not wish to make a complaint about our service, I’m attaching details of how to do so if you change your mind in the future.

Kind regards

My Reply, same day.

Hi Blake

Your reply that you wont be making any effort to protect people's safety is disappointing and confusing.

Let me summarise what has transpired so we are all clear.

  1. Unbeknown to me, I slept with my head against the wall where the smart meter was
  2. After 2 months, my cat who slept along side of me, had to be put down for what we now know, was the result of EMF exposure
  3. After 3 months I presented to AE with 4th degree burns and symptoms of long covid
  4. I discovered the issue was the smart meter and I had it removed
  5. Because of the complexity of reporting the issue to Mercury (they denied the issue) I asked how close a baby's cot could be placed to the meter
  6. Mercury didn't/couldn't/wouldn't answer my question and actually avoided it. Instead they said to go to you, UDL
  7. Your 2016 private organisation who are apparently independant but get their funding from the utility companies and have consultants within the hirearchie of the industry, via a commissioner,  have also decided the question does not need to be answered and have tried to shut the queries down. Mercury even threatened to disconnect my power if I didn't shut up.
  8. The factual gold standard scientific evidence is that within 10 meters, you are exposed to harmful radiation in excess of the NZ Standards and the W.H.O. recommendations
  9. Within 1 meter you are exposed to 100% radiation and it will cause long term harm
  10. A baby in this position will be harmed and possibly die.
  11. Nothing has been resolved but you insist it has.
  12. No one has visited my site to see the issues I have raised
  13. Plunket, parents, and child care facilities are not aware of the issue yet

How do you think we can move forward on this?

I am trying to help you resolve a situation because it's obviously a mistake. A safety label is the least that needs to be implemented. But when I look at what has transpired so far, it's hard to see a responsible approach being applied by your two companies, management, or directors and base on how you have treated me, I feel you have colluded to hide a crime. I am considering taking the case to the police this weekend. In fact it will be my duty to do so.

Have I read this incorrectly? Please let me know ASAP because you could do the responsible thing and manage this willingly. I have tried for far too long and feel that your two companies have deliberately avoided the issue.

No one has said I am wrong so I assume therefore I am right and people are being unnecessarily harmed.

Please let me know where my thinking is wrong or put measures in place to resolve the issues.

Yours truly

Ian Stephenson

I wonder if Mercury will agree to a proper review of the facts, or will they use the academically trained process of:

Delay, Deny, Defend, a strategy of dispute resolution used by insurance companies to defraud clients of rightful claims. When a person puts their title as a Dispute Resolution Expert, you know they are trained to obfuscate without any conscience. It is in the fabric of their psychology to do so. They seem to get a buzz out of it.
